Return to Work calls that actually happen
Jaluru schedules and holds every Return to Work conversation, then applies your absence policy to the result. Managers get reports, not a diary full of meetings.
Return to Work, automated
Turn on one switch. From then on, every absence is followed by a Return to Work conversation.
Nothing to schedule or learn
No new system for crew: just a text and a phone call. A text goes out the day before the expected return. The crew member replies RETURN when they have five minutes, and the AI rings straight away.
The report writes itself
Reason, fitness to return, whether it was work-related, any adjustments needed. Emailed to the manager and the crew member.
Issues are flagged
Each answer is scored for escalation, helping managers and HR recognise a normal absence and prioritise the ones that need their attention.
A text on a break, then a short call
Nobody has to be found on the shop floor or pulled into an office. The crew member replies when they are ready, and the conversation takes about five minutes.
For managers, the first they hear of it is the finished report in their inbox.
See what was said, and what needs a person
- Reminders by text, then email. Daily for up to seven days, at the time of day the absence was reported.
- Call now. One click rings the crew member immediately, handy when they are standing next to you.
- Face to face still counts. Mark a conversation as done in person and the reminders stop.
- No mobile, no problem. People we cannot text are emailed instead.
- On the clock. Calls can be taken during a shift, so no extra pay is owed.
| Question | Answer | Escalation |

| Reason for absence | Stomach bug, now recovered | |
| Fit to return to full duties? | Yes | |
| Related to work? | Thinks it came from a colleague who worked while ill | |
| Any support needed? | None | |
| Absences in 12 months | Aware this is the third |
Your absence management policy, applied consistently
If your policy says three absences in twelve months means an informal meeting, Jaluru counts for you and tells the right person when the line is crossed.
| Step | Trigger | Valid for | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| informal meeting | 3 absences | 6 months | Tag added automatically |
| written warning | 5 absences | 12 months | Recommended to manager |
| final written warning | 7 absences | 12 months | Recommended to manager |
| protected | Pregnancy-related and other protected absences never count | ||
- Model your own process. Set the number of absences that triggers an informal meeting, a written warning and each step after.
- Managers stay in charge. Warnings are recommendations. A manager confirms each one, and can override where there are exceptional circumstances.
- Evidence on file. The transcript of every absence call is available for audit.
- Consistent paperwork. The same records for everyone give you the confidence to run a fair disciplinary process.
- Better morale. Crew can see that the rules are applied to everyone, fairly and in the open.
- Attention where it counts. The AI highlights which crew most need management attention.
